Abrupt interruptions on a certain activity regimen may cause detrimental effects and symptoms. 2. Athletes tend to have a more intense and regular activity regimens than non-athletes. The interruption of their activity regimen tends to be more detrimental to their health and can make them more vulnerable to injuries. 3. A more intense and regular activity regimen, as opposed to inactivity, can provide immunological benefits and also maintain cardiovascular health but whether they will or won't benefit a COVID patient is still unclear. 4. WHAT IS REVERSE DIETING⁉️ . I’m sure many of you hear the term “reverse dieting” thrown around a lot, but what does it really mean and who does it apply to? . First off, reverse dieting is important for ANYONE who goes through a dieting period. This is NOT just applicable to competitors!! Ever wonder how you see people on social media staying lean and eating a TON of food!? It’s possible for anyone whether you have a good metabolism or not! Reverse dieting is the most important step AFTER completing a dieting phase, where you slowly increase your calories and decrease your cardio in order to get your body back to a happy maintenance point where you’re no longer in a deficit. Here are some important benefits and reasons why you should do a reverse diet⬇️ . ✅When dieting, you’re down regulating several important hormones, and slowing down your metabolism. Slowly increasing calories back each week (roughly 80-100 cals on average) is important to allow your body to slowly adapt and regulate all hormones and metabolism back up to maintenance. ✅ If you don’t gradually pull yourself out of a deficit, you’re likely to gain all your weight back and THEN some. By slowly adding food back, and increasing hormone regulation & speeding up metabolism, you’re more likely to keep the weight off AND be able to eat more food! (Sounds amazing right?) ✅ With Reverse dieting, you can actually increase your threshold of food your body will uptake, and speed up your metabolism over time! ✅ You cannot stay in a deficit for ever, eventually your body will stop responding, and you will most likely be miserable! Reverse dieting is important to give your body that break, focus on continuing to recomp your body composition, and make your next cut that much more optimal! . Reverse dieting is performed very frequently even with clients who were not intentionally “dieting”, but naturally always under ate and are looking to either gain muscle or get leaner! Usually the best first step is to reverse diet back to their threshold maintenance and THEN go from there, your body will be much happier, responsive, and working optimally! 🔥👊🏼 .
