NEW LOGO PROJECT It's been a weird couple of weeks. I've had my usual amount of work but it feels like the December holidays so my work mojo is confused.😜 Here's a little logo revamp project that I recently completed for @cosychic . We're still finalising some last bits but Donna has rolled it out and is using all the basic elements already. This project is a great example of how existing design assets can be incorporated into a brand aesthetic. What do I mean by that? The client was in love with this Magnolia and Eucalyptus watercolour elements set by @soft_muse and wanted to incorporate them in her updated brand. So she purchased the license and sent me the files to work with for her. I want to clarify that when a client does this, I am in no way permitted to use these elements in any other projects - unless I purchase them myself or another client purchases them for me to use. The license is for a single user. Using pre-created graphic elements in your brand comes with pros and cons. Pros are that it costs less than having custom elements created, and you get the elements as soon as you've paid the license. I could have created similar elements, but it would have taken longer and cost more. Cons are that they can also be purchased by other users so there is a possibility that someone else might have a similar-looking brand to yours. Though that really depends on how they are used. I did tweak the colours slightly to match the brand palette better. Have a scroll through the post to see how I've used these elements throughout this brand. I did create the C with gold-textured fill and chose the paired fonts. You'll see there is a primary (gold C) and secondary logo (black C) to be used in different ways across the brand. Also designed in this rebrand were business cards, letterhead, email signature, gift wrap and cards, shopping bags, circular labels, thank you card, voucher, tissue-paper print, window signage, and social templates that we're working on at the moment. . . . . . . . . #decorsouthafrica #fashionsouthafrica #logodesign #branddesign #logodesigner #southafricancreatives #southafricandesigner #southafricanbranding #createyourlife #creativelife

Despite the fact that iconic two tone Chanel pumps were designed 60 years ago, they're still one of the most coveted pairs of shoes. Every season, a new iteration comes out and immediately they sell out. But what, we hear you cry, makes them so perennially popular? Designed in 1957 by Coco Chanel, the two-tone shoes, which initially were a slingback, were meant to mimic men's shoes at the time. It was also considered to be a universally flattering style. Thanks to the contrasting-coloured toe, the shoes both made the foot look smaller and the leg longer. . . . . . #fashionsouthafrica #fashionsa #channel #streetphotography #southafrica #lockdown2020 #lockdownsa #southafricanwomen #womanpower #neveroutofstyle #southafricanblogger #southafricanbusiness #stylesa #personalshopper #personalshoppersa #workhardplayharder #pretoria #jozivibes #johannesburgfashion #johannesburg #joburg #capetown #capetownmug #durban #centurion #gautengphotographer #gautengfashionindustrygrowth2020

Designed in 1957 by Coco Chanel, the two-tone shoes, which initially were a slingback, were meant to mimic men's shoes at the time. Of course, the shoes took off, and ever since then, we've seen the familiar Chanel pump every fashion week and in numerous street style shoots. Incredibly, the shoes have hardly differed from its original design, with the toe always in a contrasting hue. While there might now be a range of different colourways (shout out to Karl Lagerfeld), not to mention numerous copies on the high street, the shoes are still one of the most popular and the most photographed heels in the world . . . . . #fashionsouthafrica #fashionsa #channel #streetphotography #southafrica #lockdown2020 #lockdownsa #southafricanwomen #womanpower #neveroutofstyle #southafricanblogger #southafricanbusiness #stylesa #personalshopper #personalshoppersa #workhardplayharder #pretoria #jozivibes #johannesburgfashion #johannesburg #joburg #capetown #capetownmug #durban #centurion #gautengphotographer #gautengfashionindustrygrowth2020
