5 things I miss about being in D.C. (quarantine-edition): 1. Knowing some of my friends were nearby, even though we couldn’t see each other in person.
2. Seeing so many people band together to safely support their neighbors however possible.
3. Having takeout options galore! D.C.’s food scene is *~amazing~* and it tastes even better knowing you’re giving small businesses a helping hand (figuratively, of course). 4. This includes mimosa deliveries, hello! 😎🍹 5. The robust local news scene. Even though I hardly went outside, I felt more connected knowing what was happening within communities all over town.
I’ve been back in Georgia for a couple of weeks now and I can’t complain, but naturally D.C. crosses my mind every once in a while. I know lots of people had to leave town for all kinds of reasons; if you did, what are some things you love/miss about D.C. (quarantine-edition or not)?
