Buying Old Clothes
Buying old clothes doesn't mean your poor. It doesn't mean you have no fashion sense, and it doesn't mean you have to march the streets in the name of #sustainability and #climatechange. Buying Sustainably involves more than a fad, faze or craze. It's about not consuming more than what you actually NEED just for the sake of having it. It's about not comparing yourself, your lifestyle or your wardrobe to anybody else's. We've all seen the stats on the effect of #fastfashion on the Planet and the people who make these clothes. It's devastating. And it's very real.
I'm no Saint and I'm still learning about how I can make my own life more sustainable (which includes taking care of your mental health too) but I know I'd much rather wear ethically sourced than mass produced and I'd rather pay for vintage #gucci #ferragamo #dolcegabbana than for the new and the copies.
It doesn't have to be a huge change, the road to living more consciously. But it has to start somewhere.
